Translation notes:
The name of the song “Amon” most likely refers to the marquis demon “Amon” in demonology, it doesn’t seem to refer to the Egyptian god Amon/Amun because of some references mentioned in the song. Amon controls the legions of Satan’s army, his name makes references to greediness, this demons have knowledge about the past and present, and he gives this knowledge to those who make a contract with Satan, and he’s also entitled to supervise those who made such a pact.
Knowing those details, we can see there is a mention at the beginning about a beast that notices the rotten smell of the dead or those about to die, I suppose these are people who made a contract with the devil, and they have to pay with their life.
Then we have a paragraph where the author says he will show everything according to the contract signed, so the song is from Amon’s perspective, he gives the knowledge to the greedy humans, who end up throwing themselves into the temptations and becoming sinful, and showing human’s true colors, meaning their true intentions (思惑は遂げられて).
Then we see where “the sequence starts to disarrange” (数列は乱れ始め）and the hypothesis is overturned (想定は覆されて), followed by the english “That’s what I want”; so humans are greedy and want knowledge and then they end up making bad decisions, but everything is a test case for demons such as Amon; and each taste is different because each human will make different decisions and the demon enjoys and is entertained by the fact that his hypothesis of what the human will do is overturned, and this is exactly what the demon wants.
We have seen similar topics raised by Kirito in songs from the previous album where we had Mephisto playing around with humans as well.
