The new Angelo album [evolve] was released a few days ago on 11/11; so I have begun working on the songs! my translations might not be perfect but I’ll do my best as last time with FAUST. Here we have the first song of the album “Enter the NEOPHASE”, lyrics and composition by Kirito.

English Translation:
The images of the memory float, the fading smiling faces vanish in the wind
The thread that ties the heart grumbles and is violently torn to pieces, leaping on into a path with no track
The next morning after being left behind is a very cruel white darkness dominated by nothingness
The hand reaches out blindly while being confused and hesitant, without knowing what to depend on at that final moment which finally arrives
Looking up at the gray sky, the beating sound resounds, unable to endure a drop spilled over
The exhausted thread of hope that connects to tomorrow, the seasons that we lost sight of are flowing
I fell into my knees imploring for mercy, turning my thoughts into screams so they can reach to you
Searching for the light within the darkness while being confused and hesitant, because as always that’s where the answer is expected to be
A drop spilled when attempting to forget that time when not even words of farewell were exchanged
The corpses of those who were not able to fight against this transform into sand and are left behind
The thoughts of having nowhere to go drift in the air
I can still hear the voice that is calling out in grief
I must come to a halt at this place and while it is like this
The freezing morning comes, and yet the light still shines
Starting to walk searching for a reason to being alive

Translation notes:
I believe this song gives us an idea about what to expect for the next songs…
The protagonist of this song is someone who is possibly at the verge of death, the first paragraph describes images of the good things in his life that vanish in the air; probably this person got sick with COVID19; in the next part the person is “放り出された” Kirito uses the ほうりだされた pronunciation which can refer to being abandoned, or being left behind; this probably refers to a person that is “left behind” in ICU (intensive care unit) and this is why the person is about to die and dominated or at the mercy of a “白い闇” which means “white darkness” and probably refers that this person’s fate is in the hands of doctors (since they dress in white clothes).
The person in this final moment doesn’t know what to lean on, and Kirito mentions a drop that spills over 「こぼれた一雫」this probably refers to the intravenous drip that is used on patients at a hospital.
This person has no hope of surviving and while the drops of the IV drip fall over, he has many regrets as most humans do at the time of their parting, this person is aware that there are other people who have not survive the battle when Kirito refers to the bodies that turn into sand and are left behind ”砂と化していく亡骸が残した”.
However for some reason the person is still not dead, another day comes and there’s still some hope, so the person continues to search for the reason of his survival.
This is probably what many people have to do in this “NEOPHASE” that Kirito refers to, those that survived must continue to walk on and live.
