This time, I bring another romaji and translation practice/attempt with a song I really love from Daisuke Asakura‘s “Blue Resolution” album, this is also part of the Quantum Mechanics Rainbow project, and it’s the third album in the series of seven.
The album also contains a blend of songs with vocal work by Daisuke and instrumental pieces fitting the “blue” feeling of this album which is a bit sad and melancholic in my opinion.
About the song I am working on, it’s one of the vocal songs where Daisuke sings together with a female singer named Mayumi Fujita.
She is the female vocalist for all the songs with female voice in the Quantum Mechanics Rainbow series, she is also the vocalist of some songs from the Persona 3 PS2/PSP game and she performs chorus work for other famous female artists such as BoA, Rie Fu, miwa and some others.
This song was a bit challenging because it was difficult to understand from which perspective the story is being told, plus they both sing it together, but there were some clues that lead me to the final version. Feel free to comment if you have any suggestions/corrections.
The lyrics are very heartbroken, it’s about an unrequited love, and the feeling of wanting everything to remain the same without losing the friendship, I am sure many people can relate to this, at some point of their lives. The music of the song is magnificent and Daisuke’s voice together with Mayumi is completely mesmerizing, this song also features one of his best synthesizer solos ever in my opinion, and the rhythm of the song is completely addictive. I highly recommend it if you haven’t listened to this song before. So now onto the lyrics!
