access: 24sync

This single gets the award for my favorite November 2016 release,  and maybe one of the greatest achievements during this year: “24sync”  by the Japanese unit access, consisting of Daisuke Asakura in keyboards and Hiroyuki Takami on vocals; they are celebrating their 25th years anniversary next year, most likely releasing a new album during 2017, and this year they provide us with this wonderful single release, in 3 different versions:

24sync (A version) Support access and buy in CD Japan: 24sync A Edition / access , also available in Amazon and Darwin Store

24sync (X version) Support access and buy in CD Japan: 24sync X Edition / access , also available in Amazon and Darwin Store
1. 24sync
2. Bet ~追憶のRoulette~ (access ELECTRIC NIGHT 2016 ver.)
3. Winter Ring Affair (Instrumental)

Aaccess-24syncs you can see, the only difference between the releases is the second song. I’ve only bought the S version so far, however I plan of buying the A version as well, because “Missing 4 seasons” is a really beautiful song, and it’s not available in any other album; it was only included in a tour pamphlet this year as a bonus CD.

About the feature song “24sync”,  I’ve never listened to a song with so many different phases within, it starts somehow as a ballad, then we have strong synths coming in with Asakura’s high upbeat style, then we have some parts with beautiful synth distortion and effects at different speeds throughout the song , the melodic chorus and then the “rap” parts which Hiroyuki is very good at; whenever I listen to this song I feel like I am in a different dimension.

I must also say that the live performance of this song provides the same strong impact as the album version, in case you are interested in watching their December 23rd performance, you can do so via NicoNico, you may need to register an account, and it’s possible to watch ended programs for a limited period of time.

And please enjoy the futuristic and beautiful promotional video of this song from their official Youtube channel, featuring Asakura’s synthesizers and keytar, slow movement scenes, and colors that perfectly fit with this song:
